OVERHEAD CRANE MAINTENANCE TRAINING – 2022

 

(This course is validated {LEEASA 22 or CPD 00001} for 5 CPD POINTS by the Lifting Equipment Engineering Association of South Africa, registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa [ECSA])

 

The training dates for 2022 are as following:

1st intake week of 07th – 11th March 2022

2nd intake week of 09th – 13th May 2022

3rd intake week of 11th – 15th July 2022

4th intake week of 12th – 16th September 2022

5th intake week of 07th – 11th November 2022

 

The crane maintenance training course is specifically designed for Supervisors, Crane Inspectors – Lifting Machinery Inspectors, Crane Technicians, Artisans and Technician Assistants who are involved in day-to-day maintenance of cranes, hoists and general lifting equipment.

The course has a comprehensive focus on the product surrounding Legislation and Standards, where we transfer more than sixty years of our experience in the industry to people who can use the knowledge gained to the benefit of the individual and the company.

  2. OHS Act (Driven Machinery Regulations – 18: 2015) or Mines Health and Safety Act
  3. Classification of cranes
  4. Summary of BS466 (crane specification)
  5. Summary of SANS 60204 (Electrical specifications for cranes)
  6. Summary of SANS 10375: 2006 & 2018 (Inspection, testing and examination of cranes)
  7. Summary of SANS 500 (Examination of manual chain blocks & chain lever hoist)
  8. Summary of SANS 4038/9 (Inspection of ropes)
  9. Load test procedures
  • Overhead cranes
  • Jib cranes

The course is held at Morris Material Handling Training Centre, Apex, Benoni. The route map will be e-mailed to delegates on request.

 

Should companies want training to be conducted at their venue, this can be arranged if there are 12 delegates or more.  

 

  • PRICE PER DELEGATE is R12, 500, 00 (Twelve Thousand and Five Hundred Rands) excl. VAT.
  • A 10% discount will apply if there are more than five (5) delegates from one company.

 

CONFIRMATION IS DONE AND FEES ARE PAYABLE AT LEAST TWO (2) WEEKS, PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE TRAINING.
