Phakamisa offers the following services:

• Lifting Tackle Inspection (LTI) training courses
• Basic Slinging and Inspection (BSI) one day training courses
• Basic Rigging and Inspection (BRI) two day training courses
• Chain Block and Lever Hoist (CBLH) inspection and safe use training courses
• Management and Technical Lifting Equipment presentations.

All training courses can be conducted on site for 10 or more persons, and public courses are conducted in major centres such as Cape Town, Randburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

All training courses are registered with ECSA for CPD and presented by either Piet Otto, Martin Pieters or Roger Day who are all lifting equipment subject matter experts and who collectively have over 120 years of experience in the lifting equipment industry.

Furthermore Phakamisa also offer the following:

To conduct lifting equipment plant inspections and audits, followed by a comprehensive written report of findings and recommendations To compile new, or update users existing written operating procedures or COP’s.

To supply Lifting Tackle Inspection Registers to assist users to record the inspections of all their different types of lifting tackle and hoists.

To supply Stores Control Registers to control the issue and return of equipment and to be legally compliant. To supply Lifting Tackle Inspection and WLL wall charts to be displayed in the work place.

To provide consultation on lifting equipment issues, practice or procedure. Lastly, Phakamisa can be contacted to assist on any special project or issue relating to lifting equipment use and legal compliance for all types of industry, plants or mines.

Costs for all training and auditing projects will be negotiated and will depend on the scope of the project required, duration, client’s location and will be tailored to meet client’s request.
